My life should be a sitcom.

Sometimes,
like at least once a week,
I seriosly consider calling TBS or something to see if they want to make more money.

Why you ask?
Because they would make BANK
by recording my everyday life.

haha seriously.
if it's not one thing, it's another these days.
I can't say I absolutely hate it...it does make my life quite entertaining.

I can guarantee you that the world would greatly enjoy watching my stupidity, drama and mishaps in my everyday life.

Like tonight for example.
Tyson and I were trying to think of a fun inexpensive date night.
We (as in I) came up with the brilliant idea to ride trax and frontrunner
from daybreak (which is about 5 minutes from our house),
to Farmington were my Oma is.

I needed to take care of her and I thought it would be fun and enjoyable if we just included it into our date.
haha. My Oma LOVES Tyson anyway.

So around 6:00 I started looking for a babysitter.
(yeah I'm prepared right? Already six?)
I would have planned this earlier except I've had strep throat all week and was just getting over it today.
I didn't even start feeling better until about 5:30.

Mistake #1:
I just expected my little sister to be able to babysit.
She's been able to every time so I figured it would be easy to get her.

WELL,
I called her and she said she wasn't feeling very well.

SO,
I had to find someone else.
My parents date night is friday too so they couldn't watch her.

Then,
remembering that Keltsons mom had been offering to babysit since before Kali was even born,
I gave her a call.

She willingly and generously said yes and agreed to start at 7:00.
We were late getting there and probably didn't leave until about 7:30.

Mistake #2:
we decided we would grab some quick dinner before boarding the train.
we grabbed subway..and ate it AT SUBWAY.

Mistake #3:
We didn't plan which trains we would catch at which times.
we just hopped on the first ones there.
Which resulted in my uncle having to pick us up at the frontrunner train so that we could get there before my Oma went to bed.

Mistake #4:
expecting to be to frontrunner at the minute we wanted...we weren't...and we missed the train we needed to get on in order to make it home.

SOO.
We caught the last frontrunner train at 10:45 to Salt Lake.
We caught the VERY last trax train heading south.
It stopped at Murray.
The train we needed to be on was the one just in front of the one we were on.

SO,
we got off and were stranded.
35 minutes away from my parents house,
our car,
and Kali.

We told Amara (keltsons mom) that we wouldn't be any later than 10:30...
it was now midnight.

So,
with no other option,
we had to wake my dad up,
he had to DRIVE out to Murray and pick us up and take us to our car.

Tyson and I decided to meet him at the olive garden so he wouldn't have to drive AS FAR.

So...
we're sitting in front of Olive Garden,
listening the italian music,
on the bench,
in the dark,
it's chili...and we are in summer clothes.

It was lovely.
we sat there not speaking for about 5 minutes because both of us were stressing out.
and when I stress out...I shouldn't speak.
haha.

Eventually we lightened a bit and started joking around to lighten our stress...
we talked about the wierdest things I just realized...

Anyway.
My dad (our hero of the evening)
drove us back to our car and by 12:45 we finally picked Kali up.

So let's see.
We owe Amara like our lives for dealing with our major lie of being home by 10:30. We were two hours and 15 minutes LATE,

We owe my Dad my life for dealing with me. Yeah dad, you thought you got rid of my midnight calls after I got married didn't you? THINK AGAIN! haha

and We owe my uncle for picking us up in Salt Lake

What we thought was going to be an inexpensive date,
just got a whole lot more expensive!

Note to self:
do NOT rely on a train to get you where you need to go when you haven't planned out the route.

Colic and teething. They don't mix!

Remember THIS post about Kali having Colic?
and THIS one about rice cereal making her feel better?

Everything was going well,
until a couple days after feeding her cereal.

I started noticing that she was pooping hardly at all.
I also started noticing that when she DID poop, it stunk SO BAD.
I didn't even know a baby could produce something that smells so bad. (haha)

As the days went on,
her bowel movements started becoming little pebbles.
Hence,
Constipation.

The rice cereal was not helping her with the problems she already had with this.
So,
I backed up and started only giving her rice cereal at night.

It still was not making a difference,
and she began getting fussy like she was before.

Good thing I was still breastfeeding at night,
so I hadn't completely dried up.

I decided to just start breastfeeding again.
Only a bottle at night.
with no rice cereal.

Just like I was doing before.

She is still fussy.
It hasn't changed.
I would think it was my breastmilk,
but she started getting fussy before I started breastfeeding full time again.

So we are back to square one.

Along with these symptoms
She was also

Drooling,
throwing up,
congested,
and chewing on EVERYTHING she could.

I was SO SURE that she was teething.
So I called the nurse and she insisted that it was too early and that she just though it was an ear infection.

She said to come in.
Our insurance just changed and co pays are now $40 and her 4 month appointment was in two weeks.

So I asked if there was anyway we could combine those because there was NO WAY I was going to pay $80 in a month. Especially because I was still so sure she was teething and didn't think she needed to go in. I just needed to know what to give her medicine wise!

She let me combine those so we went in yesterday.

Sure enough,
SHE'S TEETHING!

Dumb nurse.
haha I gotta say she is DANG LUCKY that they let me combine the appointments.
I would have been so mad if I lost $40 for them to tell me what I already knew!

Now comes the sad part.
Because it was her 4 month appointment they had to give her shots.
again.

She was already upset and I really really didn't want them to.
I was SO CLOSE to turning them down because I didn't want her to be in anymore pain.

But I ended up giving in because they said I would have had to go back in two week.
I would rather just get it over with.

Needless to say,
when the nurse walked in,
I was already crying and she had to comfort ME!
I'm sorry but I couldn't help it. I hate seeing my baby in pain...and allowing her to be in even more pain is the hardest thing ever.

I'm not kidding when I say that that's the hardest part of being a mom.
I don't remember if I said that before,
but watching my child in pain...I would rather them give ME the dangs shots.

Anyway.
Long story short.
She did scream through the shots.
but they gave me the amount of Tylenol I needed to give her.
That has seemed to help a WHOLE BUNCH.

However,
her Colic is still really bad in the morning until she finally falls asleep for her nap.
oh man I just hope she gets over this soon.
because seeing my baby in pain is the worst kind of torture.

29. a picture of yourself.

How about a picture of all three of us instead :)

(Also a sneak peak of our recent family pictures :))

30 DC #27

27. talk about your siblings.

I've got a lot of siblings.
It's crazy I tell you.

NO we are not polygamist.
THAT is FLDS. I am LDS.
Just in case you were wondering ;)

Let me go Oldest to Youngest.

BreeAnn

My Irish Twin ;)
She just turned 23 and her and her husband Blake moved to Texas in the beginning of August.
I miss them, but also envy them immensley...Tyson does even more.
Tyson served his mission in Texas and has wanted to live there ever since.

BreeAnn and I couldn't be more opposite.
I swear we are completely different in every way.
She has brown hair I have blonde hair.
She has brown eyes I have blue eyes.
She has tan skin I have WHITE skin.
I'm WAY OCD organized and she's more laid back and takes things as they come.

haha it's funny.
I love her and miss her.

Emilee

Woah.
Emilee is almost 20.
That's weird.

She's currently going to Utah state.
Emilee is probably the peacemaker of the family.
She was also Tysons friend before we started dating...and still even after we broke up before his mission.

That made things kinda awkward when he would come over after we broke up...
haha.

I miss her in Logan.
We will go visit her soon!
;)
Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn is a Junior in high school.
She'll be 17 in February.
She is in love with every guy that walks by and dangerously looks way too old for her age.'

Not good!
haha.

She is my babysitter and babysits Kali almost every week.
She makes it so Tyson and I can still go on our dates!

Dallin

He is 14 years old.
Will be 15 in October.
We all just discovered recently that Dallin is a huge ladies man.
Unfortunately,
the poor guy just got braces.

haha.
Hopefully that will keep the girls off of him until he's 16.

Casey

He is 9 years old
Caseys nickname is 'Dennis the Menace'.
seriously.

They are like two peas in a pod.
He is always finding a way to get in trouble.

He is a funny kid and loves being an uncle.
he has made it very clear that he wants to go by Uncle Case.

He's getting way to big.

Joey

He is 6 years old!
also getting WAY too big.
Joey is the clown of the bunch.
He makes me laugh whenever he is around.

He has also made it clear that he wants to go by Uncle Joe.
He will always be my baby brother no matter how old he gets.

If he could,
he would sit in front of the TV all day.

22. ten things about you people don’t really expect.

1. I sing at the top of my lungs almost everyday, throughout the day.
2. I stress about stupid things. I.E. Everything.
3. I placed a little girl for adoption almost 3 years ago
4. I had an ulcer in 7th grade

30 DC #19

19. something that never fails to make you feel better.
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this question was
a massage.
ha

Only because that day I got that massage was an INCREDIBELY annoying and stressful day.
I'm trying to renew my CNA license and it's the most inconvenient, frustrating thing EVER.

I found out it needed to be renewed and that I had to take the test in the beginning of July.
needless to say,
I am STILL waiting to take the test.

I gotta stop talking about it cause it makes me mad.

Anyway,
Nothing was working out that day and when I got my massage...
that all was fixed.

haha I was in a MUCH better mood for the rest of the day.
again,
Thank you Tyson. <3

Also,
another thing that can make me happy no matter what is Kali's smile.

When that girl smiles at me,
my life is put into perspective and I remember what's important in life.
I love love LOVE that girl.

30 DC #18

18. disrespecting parents.

I really really don't think I get this question.
It's so dang Vague!

I'm guessing it's asking,
How I feel about people who disrespect parents?

Here's my take on that.

When you are a child all the way up until when you are married and on your own,
you should respect your parents 100%.

I know I'm guilty of not doing that throughout some of my life.
But aren't we all right?
haha

However,
Once you are an adult, married and on your own,
I think that it needs to be both ways.

You should respect your parents, but they should respect you as well.
It needs to be a different kind of relationship at that point because they no longer are paying for your life! haha
Of course you should understand everything they've done for you throughout your life, but you are also an adult. They need to understand that as well and know that in order to maintain your relationship, respect needs to go both ways!

I hear about this a lot.
and
I'm understanding it more as I get older.

Hopefully Kali and I will be able to figure this out early in our relationship!
Especially once she becomes a teenager.
:S

30 DC #17

17. things that make you scared.

Well,
I'm not sure if this wants me to name 17, or just things in general.
So,
I'll name my top five.

1. Something happening to Kalista.
2. Something Happening to Tyson. Especially while he's at work.
3. Spiders
4. my imagination when it's late at night and I'm wide awake while everyone is sleeping.
5. Noises that the house makes when I'm home alone.

30 DC #16

16. three things you are proud about your personality.
This is the hardest question so far.
But here we go:

1. My OCD as far as being clean goes.
I'm not saying my house is always clean, I'm saying that when I AM cleaning, it's never clean enough for me. It's way better than my house always being a mess right?
2. I'm organized. for the most part.
3. I'm not fake. :)

30 DC #14

14. something disgusting you do.

first of all,
why would I do something if I thought it was disgusting??

DUHH.

I guess that when I was pregnant,
I craved chewing on a sponge ALL OF THE TIME!

It was the wierdest thing ever...
and I did finally end up doing it.
once.
towards the end of my pregnancy.

haha

30 DC #13

13. a date you would love to go on.
Everything I've wanted to do on a date,
I've done with Tyson.

But,
I would LOVE to relive or anniversary.

That was SO much fun and so nice to just not have a care in the world and not be rushed or in a hurry for once!!

30 DC #12

12. things you want to say to an ex.

Quite honestly,
there's not anything I want to say to any of my ex's except this:

I'm SOOO much happier without you in my life!

I don't really care about any of them.
My life is exactly how I wanted it to be and they are all OLD NEWS!

My husband
(who by the way is WAYY sexier than any of those others)
is my world now.

30 DC #11

11. your current relationship, if single discuss how being single is.

Married.

That was easy.

30 DC #10

10. your view on drugs and alcohol.

I strongly believe that if someone does drugs or consumes alcohol before at least age 21,
it affects their brain a whole lot more.

I heard somewhere that if affects the frontal lobe,
which affects the decision making part of your brain.

I think drugs are stupid no matter what and that people that do that are seriously screwing up the rest of their lives.
My little brothers birth mother did drugs. They took over her life which resulted in not only her getting her kids taken from her, but my brothers were affected from it forever.

Same with Tysons birth mother.
Drugs are so powerful that they can do that to someone.
What person in their right mind, would choose something over their kids?

Drugs ruin lives.
I've seen it happen to those closest to me.

As far as Alcohol goes,
I don't drink.
I never have because it's against my values.

But,
I think that as long as people that do it, do it responsibly and don't get drunk...and then DRIVE,
I'm not going to criticize them for it.
I don't do it, but as long as those that do it, don't affect others with it and don't become addicted, or take lives by drinking and driving,
then they can do what they want :)

30 DC #9

9. your last kiss.

I woke up to Tyson kissing me goodbye when he left for work.
Those kisses are in my top 5 favorite kisses.

What better way to be woken up in the morning?
